New license fees: Effective Immediately!!!!
Effective
immediately, chapter 140, sections 122, 122b, 129b, 131,
131a, 131f, and 131h have been amended to change the fee
schedule for Massachusetts firearms licenses.
The
license fees are now as follows:
Dealers / Gunsmiths: $100.00 ( increased from $20/yr )
License to sell ammunition: $100.00 ( increased from not
more than $25.00)
Firearms Identification Card: $100.00 ( increased from
$25.00 )
Restricted Firearms identification Card: No charge (
Pink ID's )
Licenses to carry firearms: $100.00 ( increase from
$25.00 ) ( includes license to possess machine guns )
Permits to purchase: $100.00 ( increase from $25.00 )
Non-Residents and Non-Resident aliens: $100.00 (
increase from $50.00 )
Resident aliens: $100.00 ( previously not specified )
Note: There is still no fee for
applicants over 70 years of age.
$100.00 License fee: can be paid by Cash or Check
Pictures can be taken at the Police Station
for
